The Match
Our story began with a dating app match. The kind of modern beginning that could have easily been ordinary, but for us, it never was. At the time, Linisha had just moved back to Chicago from Mumbai, while Amit was living in London, where he had built his life.
On paper, it all seemed a little impossible. Two people in different cities, coming from different versions of life, with every reason for the timing to feel complicated. And yet, from our very first conversation, something just clicked.

What started as simple messages quickly turned into endless phone calls. The kind where hours pass without either person noticing. There was an immediate ease between us, full of laughter, comfort, and a connection that felt natural from the very beginning.
Even before we met in person, we were already joking about our wedding. And somehow, even then, it felt like maybe this story was meant to have a happy ending after all.

The Leap
Only two weeks after that first date, Amit made the boldest decision of all: he moved to Chicago to give us a real chance. Leaving behind London, the city where he had built his life, was no small thing.
It became one of the clearest signs of just how real this was from the very beginning. A reminder that sometimes the answer isn't careful. Sometimes the answer is now.
